Sunpro Solar Installations Featured in National Solar Tour

National Solar Tour

Many exciting things are happening when it comes to the renewable energy world, and one of them is the upcoming 2018 National Solar Tour October 6th and 7th. The entire purpose of this Tour is to inform and educate people about solar energy. It also allows enthusiasts and those curious about solar energy to meet and discuss all of the things happening in the industry today.

Not only is this the largest solar event in the nation, the National Solar Tour is also the world’s largest grassroots solar event. People across the country, home and business owners, public officials, volunteers, and solar organizations gather together. They put together open-house tours of solar-powered homes and buildings throughout the country, and anyone can go see them. More than 400 organizations sponsored and coordinated this year’s events. Solar enthusiasts from all over volunteered to share stories and teach others about the many benefits of using solar power. The tour takes place annually during the first weekend of October, which is also National Energy Awareness Month.

The homes and buildings that are opened for the National Solar Tour are owned by everyday homeowners, business owners, and enthusiasts. They volunteer to open up their doors and share their stories about how solar energy has changed their lives. The first National Solar Tour began over twenty years ago, founded by the American Solar Energy Society. Since then, it has grown each year as awareness of renewable energy has increased. There are locations in nearly every state in the U.S. that people can visit, from Alaska to Florida.

This year, Sunpro Solar has multiple homes open for the public to enjoy. You can visit our 4 solar installations featured in the solar tour this weekend, Saturday October 6th, and Sunday October 7th in the Greater New Orleans area. For more information on the locations and how to sign up, please see the National Solar Tour Website.
